The six-step hospitality stock counting cycle, and how each step maps to a future Bazaro counting feature. Click a step to read it; then run the interactive count below to see reconciliation, variance review and corrective actions end to end.
Six steps, run on a fixed schedule. Steps 4–5 loop until every material variance is explained.
Loop rule: if a line's variance exceeds tolerance after reconciliation, it returns to Investigate. A line reaches posting only explained by an event, or recounted and written off as shrinkage with a sign-off — never in limbo.
This is the counter's view: item, unit, storage area — no expected quantity (that's the blind-count principle). Items marked NEW have no baseline yet: this is their first count. Enter counts, or simulate a typical night, then reconcile. Reconciliation produces the full KPI report in one view — whoever opens it, owner or manager, sees the same numbers, each computed with one fixed formula. The ★ pins only change what sits in the headline row. Click any tile to see what it means, how it's computed and how to read it.
